Everything you need to know about accessing Torzon Market safely, using cryptocurrency, understanding the escrow system, and protecting your identity.

Access & Basics

Torzon is a peer-to-peer darknet marketplace accessible exclusively via the Tor network. It works similarly to conventional e-commerce platforms but routes all traffic through multiple layers of onion encryption, ensuring neither buyers nor vendors expose their real IP addresses. All transactions are processed through a cryptocurrency escrow system, all communications use mandatory PGP encryption, and trust between unknown parties is established through a structured vendor rating and review system.

You need the Tor Browser, which you can download from torproject.org. Once installed, navigate to our Enter Marketplace page for a current list of PGP-verified onion addresses. Copy the address, verify it against the published admin PGP canary, paste it into Tor Browser's address bar, and bookmark it immediately for all future visits. Never search for Torzon in a search engine.

No. .onion addresses exist exclusively within the Tor network and cannot be resolved by standard DNS. Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and any other standard browser cannot access Torzon regardless of VPN, proxy, or extension use. Any website claiming to offer "clearnet access" to Torzon is a phishing site. Tor Browser from torproject.org is the only legitimate access method.

Account registration on Torzon requires only a username and a passphrase — no email address, phone number, or personal information. Choose a randomised username that has no connection to your real identity or any clearnet accounts. Use a strong, unique passphrase generated with KeePassXC. Enable 2FA immediately after registration using a TOTP app (not SMS).

Security & Privacy

Set the security level to Safest before accessing any .onion address. Click the Shield icon in the Tor Browser toolbar → Advanced Security Settings → select Safest. This disables JavaScript, WebGL, SVG animations, and several other potential attack vectors. Do not install extensions. Do not resize the browser window. Do not enable WebRTC. These settings significantly reduce your fingerprint surface area.

A VPN before Tor (VPN→Tor) can hide from your ISP that you are using Tor, which may be useful if Tor usage itself is suspicious in your environment. However, this adds a trusted third party (the VPN provider) and is never a substitute for Tor Browser security. A VPN after Tor (Tor→VPN) generally reduces security. Using Tails OS, which routes all traffic through Tor by default, is a stronger solution than relying on a VPN.

PGP (Pretty Good Privacy) is an end-to-end encryption system that ensures only the intended recipient can read a message. On Torzon, PGP is mandatory — all vendors must upload and verify a public key before listing, and all sensitive communications must be encrypted. Even if Torzon's servers were seized, PGP-encrypted messages would be unreadable without the recipient's private key. Generate keys using GPG4Win (Windows), Kleopatra, or on an air-gapped machine for maximum security.

Verify the complete 56-character V3 onion address character by character against the address on our verified links page or against a PGP-signed canary message. Phishing clones typically differ by one character in a visually similar position. Additionally, verify that any link announcement you received is signed by the Torzon admin PGP key. If the signature is invalid or missing, do not use the link.

Payments & Cryptocurrency

Monero provides mandatory, protocol-level privacy. Ring signatures obscure the sender, stealth addresses hide the recipient, and RingCT conceals the transaction amount. Bitcoin's entire transaction history is publicly visible on the blockchain — sophisticated chain-analysis tools can trace and de-anonymise most BTC transactions given sufficient data. For any environment where financial privacy is critical, XMR is the only robust choice. Torzon uses Monero subaddress generation to prevent address reuse.

The most private acquisition methods are: (1) Peer-to-peer exchanges that do not require KYC identity verification — you can buy XMR with cash or other private payment methods. (2) Bitcoin-to-Monero atomic swaps, which allow a trustless on-chain exchange. If you must use a centralised exchange, be aware that your purchase is permanently linked to your verified identity, and take additional steps to separate those XMR from your market activity.

Torzon uses a 5-stage escrow system. When you place an order, your funds are held in cryptographic custody on the platform. The vendor receives the funds only after you confirm delivery. If a dispute arises, an independent arbitration team reviews the evidence and determines fund distribution. With the optional 2-of-3 multisig escrow (for transactions above the threshold), even Torzon staff cannot unilaterally release funds — two of three parties (buyer, vendor, or arbitrator) must agree.

Vendors & Orders

Look for vendors with 50+ verified reviews, a high delivery success rate, a strong stealth rating, and a long operational history on the platform. Read recent negative reviews carefully — patterns of non-delivery, wrong products, or poor communication are significant warning signs. Prefer vendors in higher reputation tiers (Established, Trusted, or Elite). For new purchases, use a smaller test order first through the standard escrow system before placing larger orders.

FE (Finalize Early) means releasing escrow funds to the vendor before you have confirmed receipt. This should only ever be done with vendors you have extensive, positive transaction history with — ideally Elite-tier vendors with hundreds of verified reviews. Never FE with a new vendor, regardless of what incentives they offer. If a vendor is pressuring you to FE, treat this as a potential red flag. FE funds cannot be recovered through the dispute system.

Wait until the stated maximum delivery window has passed before taking action — international shipping delays are common and do not necessarily indicate a problem. If the deadline passes: (1) Contact the vendor through the platform's encrypted messaging system with details. (2) If no satisfactory response within 48 hours, open a formal dispute immediately — do not wait. (3) Document all communications and provide the escrow dispute team with order details, tracking information, and vendor communications as evidence.
